Pediatric Fist AID & CPR TRAINING

Who needs Infant & Child CPR Training?

Pediatric First Aid and CPR is most suited for parents, expectant parents, grandparents, teachers, and child care providers.

Intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Includes child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. Ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians.

What is covered in Infant & Child CPR Training

Our program uses real-world scenarios and interactive lessons to teach you how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant within the first few minutes.

The first few minutes are the most important.

For every 60 seconds that pass, chances of surviving drops by 10% without CPR or defibrillation. After just 4 minutes, brain damage begins to occur. After 10 minutes, it is unlikely they can be saved. EMS response times are often 12-14 minutes in metro areas and even longer in rural areas. Unfortunately waiting for professionals to arrive is far too late in most cases. Providing CPR as a bystander can double or even triple chances of survival.

How important is it for me to train with a certified trainer in Infant & Child CPR?

There are many training programs offered online that show you a video, give you a test, and issue a certificate. This is not a real certification.

Without interfacing with a real-live CPR trainer who is also an experienced healthcare professional you may miss learning and getting skills you need if an incident occurs. And you may not feel the necessary confidence to perform CPR if necessary.

"70 percent of Americans may feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because they either do not know how to administer CPR or their training has significantly lapsed."

- CPR Statistic.

About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year–that's 1 in every 4 deaths. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women.

I heard that insurance will cover this certification. How does that work?

Your Pediatrician is your best resource here for securing coverage and confirming your eligibility. If you have not been trained in the past 2 years, you are likely to be eligible for full coverage.

Many insurance providers will cover one or both parents.
